Ridgeway Tigers U9s vs UPR Red
With the easing of Lockdown restrictions, Ridgeway Tigers U9s travelled to Upminster against UPR Red for a 12:30 kick off. The Upminster pitch was impressive and enabled the Tigers and UPR to have an exciting end-to-end game with Ridgeway having the better first half, scoring some great goals with well thought passes and impressive movement off the ball. Wonderful to see Nate (Tiger’s keeper) making some great saves and Alex bagging a hat-trick of well taken finishes. UPR came out stronger in the second half taking the game to a tiring Ridgeway. Both teams battled away to the finish in a great game and it was all smiles in the end. A special day out for both sides!
Great to see the kids out there playing again post-lockdown – here’s the Ridgeway Tigers u9 with their fantastic away kits sponsored by Xenomorph in a picture with the opposition UPR Reds.
It’s been a few weeks since the end of lockdown and Ridgeway have had 3 training sessions and some friendly games (the league results were expunged due to the time lost through lockdown). There is a lot of work to do over the summer to make up for all the missed football but more friendlies and tournaments will be lined up to help the team to be ready for when they move into U10.
