Bloomberg beat Reuters by a whisker
Bloomberg narrowly beat Reuters in the fiercely contested Xenomorph Charity Karting Challenge at Sandown Park, Surrey last Saturday. Datastream came from behind to finish third and despite some extensive (and professional-looking) lap time analysis Bridge came in fourth. Rain half way through the two hour endurance event added to the entertainment, with many of the contestants wanting to challenge for world ice dance championship given the amount of spinning going on... Michael Schumacher would not have been impressed!
Half of the £1000 pounds raised went to the British Heart Foundation and Bloomberg decided to send to other half to the Kosovo appeal.
Brian Sentance, managing director of Xenomorph, said 'The objective of the event was to thank our data vendor partners for their on-going support and we feel that this was achieved given the highly enjoyable nature of the day. Thank you all for attending and see you again next year!'.
