Introduction

"In 2007, I interned in the Data Warehousing Department of a large marketing company in Connecticut, USA. At the time, I was almost done with graduate school and that internship was my first real-world exposure to databases. Most of my responsibilities revolved around using SQL Server 2005, and I gained a lot of experience creating reports from T-SQL queries.

After graduate school, I was hired as a developer by Xenomorph, a data and analytics management company, to work in their New York office on Wall Street. It was there that I was introduced to Xenomorph TimeScape and the QL+ querying language. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a robust, efficient and simple alternative to the SQL world of tables, joins and stored procedures."
