OverviewThe Product Management group within the Investment Banking/Fixed Income division of DZ BANK AG, Frankfurt, needed to automate and streamline their business processes. The group chose Xenomorph software as the foundation for its business critical simulation software.

Within the division, the Product Management group supports traders and sales in the development and marketing of complex structured products, such as exotic derivatives. |
The briefThe business processes associated with product development in the Fixed Income division needed automating. The Product Management group had been using proprietary software and text-based databases along with extensive quantitative analysis, such as historical simulations and scenario analysis. The group required an innovative database, which inherently had the ability to store immediate simulation results and market information and, at the same time, ensure it remained focussed on financial products, such as static items and time-series. The solutionXenomorph was selected to deliver the desired business process improvements due to its high performance time series database which automates market data downloads, integrates disparate data sources and provides pro-user interfaces to, for example, Excel, VB and C/C++. Xenomorph provides the foundation for the new designed simulation software and it enables the rapid integration of new products into the simulation system. The previously labourintensive, manual task of integrating market data into DZ BANK databases has also been automated through implementing Xenomorph software solutions.
